Our activities are operated by our sister hotel Nova Galaxy Village and focus on responsible tourism, small group s and authentic Arctic experiences. Animal welfare, respect for local nature and individual guiding are an important part of every experience we offer.

We collaborate with small local Husky Farm named Arctic Woods Huskies. Musher Couple Inka and Jussi who take care of their furry collegues as their beloved family members. Dogs lives here in Rovaniemi year around! Dogs love to run and, in addition to work, they also participate in sledding races, hike in the summertime and enjoy cozy dog family life surrounded by nature far away from the city.

You can access your room starting from 15:00. To make your arrival as smooth as possible, you are welcome to complete the check-in process in advance before your room is ready. Check-out is at 11:00, giving you time to enjoy a calm and relaxing morning before continuing your day in Lapland.

Autumn (September–October)
Autumn is one of the best times to see the Northern Lights thanks to darker nights, milder temperatures, and often clear skies. The forests around Nova Skyland glow with beautiful autumn colors, and lakes may still be unfrozen, creating stunning reflections of the Northern Lights.

Winter (November–February)

• Night Sky Snowmobile Tour (winter season only) – an exciting snowmobile adventure under the Arctic sky, with the chance to witness the Northern Lights far away from city lights.

If Northern Lights are super strong, it's possible to spot them dancing in the sky directly above our hotel area. We still recommend to book Northern Lights tour, when guide takes you away from city lights.

• By train: overnight trains from Helsinki arrive at Rovaniemi Railway Station, from where taxis and local transportation are available
• By car: free parking is available for all hotel guests directly at the hotel property

Rovaniemi city center is located about 8 km from Nova Skyland Hotel. Guests can easily reach the city by:

Driving in Lapland is generally calm and easy compared to larger cities, but Arctic conditions require extra attention — especially during winter. Here are a few important things to keep in mind:

• Winter roads may be snowy or icy between October and April
• Drive carefully and allow extra travel time during snowfall
• Reindeers or other wild animals can appear on roads unexpectedly, especially outside the city area
• Headlights must always be used while driving in Finland
• During the darkest winter months, visibility can change quickly because of weather conditions

If you are unfamiliar with winter driving, we recommend choosing guided transportation or taxis during heavy snow conditions.
